Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Mr. William Hart will officiate. Burial with full Military Rites by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post # 55 will be Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of services Thursday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
Mr. Brown was born October 7, 1930, in Brown County, Illinois to Hurley Roy and Sylvia Deverger Brown.
He was married to Rita Jean Hudnall on November 6, 1954 in Camp Chaffee, Arkansas. She survives.
Other survivors include 5 children, Vickie Hayes of St. Louis, MO, Bruce Brown (Melanie) of Hannibal, MO, Michael Brown (Debbie) of Waggamon, Louisiana, Linda Panek (Tom) of Camdenton, MO, Diane Roesler of St. Charles, MO, 2 sisters, Mary Poling of Hannibal, MO and Margaret Spegal of Hannibal, MO, his special friend, Ronnie Drage, 10 Grandchildren, 18 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sisters; Hattie Todd and Alvenia Smashey and 3 brothers; Walter Brown, Loren Brown and Gail Brown.
Mr. Brown was a United States Army Veteran. He previously worked as a diesel mechanic at Altorfer in Hannibal. Junior enjoyed boating, motorcycles and bowling. He also liked visiting the casinos and spending time with his family. Junior was also previously a Golden Gloves Boxer and a race car driver.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Brown, Mike Brown, Branham Buffington, Damon Noel, Brandon Williams, and Jeshua Noel.
Honorary pallbearer will be Jeff Williams.
