William O. Hawver
William, son of John and Lula Hawver was born in Hico, West Virginia, March 7, 1898, and died Oct. 26, 1938. His parents moved to a farm near Stafford, Kans., when he was a small child. His mother died in May, 1906, when he was eight years old. He was married to Essie Cox in 1914, one son Robert was born to them. Essie died in 1918.
On April 15, 1919, he was married to Eunice Goble of Stafford, to this union two sons were born, Dayle and Jack. He was employed as an engineer in the Stafford power plant for several years. The family then moved to Buffalo, New York, where he has been employed by the Phillsbury Milling Co. for the last ten years.
He had just returned home from visiting his relatives in Kansas, whom he had not seen for fourteen years. While at work he was suddenly stricken with a heart attack, and died a few hours after being taken home.
Besides his wife, Will is survived by three sons, Robert of St. Louis. Mo., Dayle and Jack of the home. His father, John Hawver, of Stafford, Kans., Six brothers, Frank, Seaton, Ray and Robert of Stafford, John Jr. of Pratt, Kans. George of Joplin, Mo. Four sisters, Mary Figgers, Emma Garey, Ruth Winkler of Stafford, and Cora Roth of Nickerson, Kans.
He was buried in Woodlawn cemetery, with the Rev. Norman J. Irving of the Orchard Park Presbyterian church officiating.
