SISTER MARY PROTASE CORBITT, 84, died March 4, in Mercy Hospital, Dubuque, Iowa. Her funeral was Saturday at St. Clara Covent, Sinsinawa, Wisconsin, with burial in the convent's cemetery. A daughter of Edward and Frances Schlink Corbitt, she was born near Gridley and was well known in El Paso. She had celebrated her 60th anniversary as a nun in May 1900 at St. Cara's Convent. She is survived by four sisters in Bloomington Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
