"LUSE: - John M. Luse, well known resident of State College, passed away at 9:30 o'clock on Saturday morning at the home of a nephew, William C. Luse, at Centre Hall, from the effects of a heart attack. He had been in poor health for the past six months. The deceased was a son of Abraham and Hannah Ream Luse, and was born at Farmers Mills on August 24, 1870, making his age at death 66 years, 4 months and 22 days. On December 14, 1896 he was united in marriage with Miss Eva D. Carter, who survives with one daughter, Edna, at home, and a grandson. A brother, Milford Luse, of Centre Hall, and a sister, Mrs. Emma Meese, of Auburn, N.Y., also survive. The deceased was a carpenter by trade and was a member of the Lutheran church and of the I.O.O.F. at Centre Hall. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon from the home at 226 S. Barnard Street, State College, in charge of the Rev. J. P. Harkins, pastor of Grace Lutheran church. Internment was made in the Lutheran cemetery at Centre Hall."
