Family lore said Griffith babies were buried near the old homeplace across the Toccoa River where Big Creek enters the river, but no other information is known. Other stories say someone came there and removed the bodies and reinterred them elsewhere.
Since Lucy's sister, Susannah, her parents and grandparents are buried in old Woody (now Dial), we place her memorial here with her family.
