Mrs. Soraida G Garcia, 85, lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away Sunday morning (September 1, 1974) at a local rest home following an illness. She resided at 3703 Rio Grande Blvd NW and is survived by a daughter Mrs. Bernardita Gallegos, six sons; Fidel, Fabricio, Ross, Patricio, Oscar Garcia, of Albuquerque, and Henry Garcia of Los Angeles, Calif., a sister Mrs. Henriqueta Mares, and a brother Conrado Garcia, of Albuquerque, 34 grandchildren,83 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and Sacred Heart League. Rosaries were recited Monday (September 2, 1974)at 8:30 p.m. at the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Coors Blvd SW and Tuesday (September 3, 1974) at 8 p.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Funeral services were Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with Requiem Mass. Interment was at Mt. Calvary.
