Mr. Fidel M. Garcia, 89, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 27, 1998.
Mr. Garcia is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Mrs. Antonia Garcia.
He is also survived by five daughters, Rose Chavez, Lupe Lovato and husband, Jimmy, Gabriella Nieto and husband, Dan, Margo Yurgae and Bud Anna Marie and husband, John Pearson; eight sons, Rudy Garcia and wife, Frances, Bobby Garcia and wife, Alice, Fidel Garcia, Jr. and wife, Mary Ann, Joe Garcia and wife, Julia, James Garcia and wife, Esther, Lawrence Garcia and wife, Pauline, Herman Garcia and Molly and David Garcia and wife, Debbie; five brothers, Ross Garcia and wife, Tillie, Fabricio Garcia and wife, Laura, Pete Garcia and wife, Lucinda, Oscar Garcia and wife, Helen, and Henry Garcia; 56 grandchildren; 96 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Garcia was a member of the Catholic Church, outstanding community leader in the Democratic Party, devoted husband, loving father and grandfather.
