Pauline Priddy Norton , the daughter of John K. Priddy and Myrtle Allen Priddy , was born in Lee County , Mississippi on February 23 , 1923 . Her paternal grandparents were James F. Priddy and Carrie B. Priddy and her maternal grandparents were Charlie Frank Allen and Loni Belle Fowler Allen . Her siblings were Derrell " Buster " Priddy who married Sylvia Guntharp , Florine Priddy Martin who married J. B. Martin , Geraldine Priddy Carr who married Elzie Lee Carr , Elaine Priddy West who married Ray West , John Allen Priddy , Martha Jane Priddy Sanders , James F. Priddy , and Mary Jo Priddy Pannell who married Alvin Wayne Pannell . Pauline married Charles Grady Norton . They had two children Pat and Michael Norton . Pauline was the oldest of all nine children of John K. and Myrtle Allen . As a Mooreville High student in Mooreville , Mississippi she was an active basketball player and a key member of the team . Pauline used her abilities in the culinary arts and sewing to help others especially through fundraisers . In addition to being a loving wife , mother , grandmother , great grandmother and friend she served as a substitute teacher for a while ; was active in her church First United Methodist church of of McMinnville , Tennessee ; served locally , state level , and nationally with the American Legion Auxiliary ; and was a volunteer at the Veterans Hospital for nearly 50 years . Pauline Priddy Norton passed away September 24 , 2014 survived by her husband Charles , son Michael and daughter-in-law Susan , daughter Pat and son-in-law Wes Bryan , grandchildren , step grandchildren , her great grandchildren , and her two sisters Martha and Elaine .
