Linda Elaine Priddy West , the daughter of John K. Priddy and Myrtle J. Allen Priddy , was born October 19, 1928 in Lee County , Ms. in the " Tater Hills " community . Her paternal grandparents were James F. Priddy and Carrie B. McCarty Priddy . Her maternal grandparents were Charlie Frank Allen and Loni Belle Fowler Allen . She had eight siblings . As a graduate of Mooreville High School she married Ray Mitchell West . Elaine and her husband had two children Ray Stephen West and Terry West . The family lived in Verona , Ms. As a faithful member of Verona Baptist church she served as a Sunday school teacher . She was known for her abilities in cooking and crocheting as well as her ability as a family historian . On March 6 , 2015 Linda Elaine Priddy West died at the North Mississippi Center Hospice Unit of the hospital in Tupelo, Ms. She was survived by her son Ray Stephen West and granddaughter Ashley Wilson, sister Martha Sanders , sisters-in-law Diane Priddy and Sylvia Priddy , brother-in-law Charles Norton and a host of nieces and nephews . Preceding her in death were her parents , grandparents , husband Ray West , son Terry West , sisters : Pauline Norton , Geraldine Carr , Florine Martin , and Mary Jo Pannell , and brothers : John Allen Priddy , Jimmy Priddy , and Derrel " Buster " Priddy .
