Mr. Harrington was born in Baldwin County, member of Lynmore United Methodist Church where he was a former Assistant Sunday School Superintendent, former member of the Board of Stewards, Board of Trustees, member of the International Associstion of Machinist, served in the US Navy on the USS Mt. McKinley in the Pacific Theater during the WWII. Life time member of Mt. McKinley Association and the DAV. Mr. Harrington was preceded in death by his wife, Rhoda Smith Harrington and a daughter, Eleanor Harrington.
Survivors include his children, James (Yvonne) Harrington of Byron, Heyward T. (Brenda) Harrington of Winchester, KY and Ashley S. (Judy) Harrington of Culloden; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Guy M. Harrington of Macon and Perrin Harrington of Milledgeville.
The family will be at 609 Walker Road, Byron and receive friends at Crest Lawn Funeral Home Tuesday from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M.
