Coteau Holmes, LA - Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Delmus Smith, Sr., 57, the former Mary Marceaux, at 2 PM today at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Coteau Holmes, LA. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth's Catholic Cemetery in Coteau Holmes, LA.
She died Friday, November 25, 1983 at 10:45 in a Lafayette, LA hospital.
Mrs. Smith was a native of Gueydan, LA and a resident of St. Martinville, LA.
She was the daughter of the late Elie Marceaux and the late Maria Touchet Marceaux, and the wife of the late Delmus Smith.
She is survived by twelve sons and three daughters; Bob Smith of Gueydan, LA, Clarence Smith, Daniel Smith, and Delmus Smith, Jr., Roy Smith, Johnny Smith, Elie Smith, Milton Smith, Paul Smith, Raymond Smith and Dwayne Smith, all of Bayou Portage, LA and Theodore Smith of Henderson, LA; Jeanette Smith Dugas, and Annette Smith Domingue, both of Breaux Bridge, LA and Linda Smith Richard of Bayou Portage, LA.
Also surviving are two brothers and four sisters; Van Marceaux of Gueydan, LA, Asa Marceaux of Orange, Texas; Mrs. Rose Marceaux Smith and Mrs. Melba Marceaux Bonin, both of Bayou Benoit, LA, Mrs. Oura Marceaux Smith of Bayou Portage, LA and Mrs. Laura Marceaux Adams of Gueydan, LA.
She is survived by 26 grandchildren.
