Robert A. Baker
MINDEN--Robert A. Baker, 89, died Tuesday afternoon in the Minden Hospital after a short illness.
He was born in Webster Parish and lived here all his life. He was a director of Minden Building and Loan Association, a deacon of the First Baptist church and active in civic and church activities.'
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today in Rose-Neath chapel with Dr. Ronald Prince and Rev. Jack Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in the Minden Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Margarite Baker; a sister, Mrs. A.D. Leverette of Shreveport, a sister-in-law, Miss Susanella Schoenbrodt of Minden; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family asks that any memorials be sent to the Baptist Children's Home in Monroe.
