Mrs. Sylvia A. Brown, of Foresman, 91, widow of Perry Brown, died in Kentland Kare Nursing Homewhere she had been a patient for two months, at 9:15 Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Brown for many years operated the general store in Foresman which is now operated by their son, Cecil "Bus" Brown.

Mrs. Brown was born in Camelsville, Kentucky, December 22, 1875. When she was seven years of age the family settled in Newton county, and she had since been a Newton county resident. She was married to Perry Brown in Foresman, October 6, 1895. Mr. Brown died July 29, 1946.

She was a member of Foresman Methodist Church.

The immediate survivors with the son previously mentioned are two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Haynes of Kentland and Mrs. Charles (Mildred) Cain of Rensselaer; fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Sally Brown of Foresman, Mrs. Bessie Antcliff of Brook and Mrs. Jessie Simonin of Rensselaer.

Funeral services were held from Hershman and Weston Funeral Home in Brook at 2 p.m., Wednesday with the Rev. William Peterson conducting the rites. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery at Brook.
