Ura Jeanne Hagood Nelson Lesser, 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 1, 2014 in Loveland, Colorado.
Jeanne was born October 18, 1929 in Arcadia, Nebraska to Jim and Laura (Williams) Hagood. She is the second youngest of seven children. Jeanne graduated from Cheyenne High School then went to work for the state of Wyoming where she met Bruce W. Nelson. Together they raised five children. Years after Bruce's death, she moved to Loveland, Colorado and married Sam Lesser. She resided there until her passing.
Jeanne is survived by her husband, Sam Lesser; sons Harold Nelson (Crystal), Eric Nelson (Kellie), and Paul Nelson (Kimberley); daughters Lorrie Martinec (Bill) and Ilene McHenry (Frank); grandchildren Mindy Smith (Mark), Scott Martinec, Megan Stanislaw (Dwight), Levi Nelson, Brianna Linabary (Adam), Holly Coleman (Atticus), Chelsey Nelson (Chris Stine), Amanda Gary (Jesse), Anna Welsh (Ben), Natalie McHenry, Billy McHenry, and Bruce Wade McHenry (Taylor Russo); nine great-grandchildren; brothers Donald Hagood (Marion) and William Hagood (Betty Jane); stepson Milton Lesser (Karen); stepdaughter Barbara Blanks (Rick); and several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bruce Nelson; her parents; brothers John and Bob Hagood; and sisters Wilma Prickett and Betty Null.
