Wilma R. Prickett - 1916-2003
Wilma Ruth Prickett, 86, of Cheyenne died Feb. 11at United Medical Center - West.
She was born Nov. 24, 1916 in Comstock, Neb., and had lived here since 1986.
She graduated from Arcadia, Nebraska High School in 1936 and attended Kearney State Teachers College.
She taught at Westside and Riverside rural schools and worked at F.E. Warren AFB from 1943 until the end of World War II.
Mrs. Prickett attended Christ Lutheran Church, was an associate member of Zion Congregational Church and a volunteer at the Old West Museum from 1986 to 1998.
She is survived by two sons, Dan Prickett of Cheyenne and Jim Prickett of Sun City, Calif.; a daughter, Vicki Seals of Cheyenne; two step-daughters, Nancy Spears and Kay Prickett, both of Clarkston, Wash.; three brothers, Bob Hagood of Pueblo West, Colo., Don Hagood of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Bill Hagood of Cheyenne; two sisters, Betty Null of Cheyenne and Jeanne Lesser of Loveland, Colo.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Prickett on Feb. 6, 1985; her parents, James and Laura Hagood; two infant daughters, Donna True and Barbara True; daughter, Sherry Ann Prickett and a brother, John Hagood.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with the Rev. Sarah Moening officiating.
Interment will be at the Arcadia Cemetery in Arcadia, Nebraska.
