Mrs. Moore was found unconscious on the floor of her living room by a son, Luther Moore, about 1 p.m. yesterday. T. C. Bloxom Jr., assistant fire chief, said Mrs. Moore's clothing blazed up as she stood next to a heater.
Bloxom said burned places were found in Mrs. Moore's living room, two bedrooms and bathroom, indicating Mrs. Moore panicked when her clothing caught fire and ran blindly through the house.
She was taken to a local hospital with second degree burns on her chest, hands, back, legs and shoulders.
Funeral services will be held at 10 Saturday at the Green-Kleinegger Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in the Minden cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Luther W. Moore of Minden; two daughters, Mrs. Winfred S. Emmons and Mrs. Fred J. Hebert of Baton Rouge; two brothers, George and Jack Wallace of Baton Rouge; six sisters, Mrs. W. J. Farber of Baton Rouge and Mrs. E. E. Kidd, Mrs. Cas Moss, Mrs. Gill Smith, Mrs. W. H. Baker and Mrs. John Mosley, all of Winnfield; and five grandchildren.
