Funeral services will be conducted at the Laurel Heights Baptist Church at 4 p.m. Friday, September 23, with the pastor, Rev. C. C. Martin, officiating. Burial will follow in Winnfield Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Mrs. Moss was the daughter of the late J. T. Wallace and Olive Peters Wallace, prominent pioneer residents of Winn Parish. She spent her entire life in this parish. She became affiliated with the Baptist Church at a young age, and was a member of the Laurel Heights Baptist Church at the time of her death. In her early years she served as president of the Baptist Missionary Society and was active in the Easter Star. She was also Honorary Regent and a charter member of the Spicer-Wallace Chapter, Daughters of American Revolution.
Mrs. Moss was married to Judge Cas Moss on March 17, 1897, and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with open house on March 17, 1957. Since then both Judge and Mrs. Moss have been in failing health.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Cas D. Moss, and one daughter, Ophelia Moss Storey, all of Winnfield; three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Belle Mosley, Mrs. Bertha Kidd, and Mrs. Nettie Smith, all of Winnfield; and Mrs. Ethel Farber of Monroe; two brothers, Jack Wallace of Winnfield and George Wallace of Baton Rouge.
