Mrs. Smith died Friday night, August 4, 1967 in a Harlington [sic Harlingen], Texas rest home after a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of Winn Parish and was the daughter of the late Judge J. T. and Mrs. Wallace, prominent Winn Parish civic, religious, and political leaders. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She leaves a son, Gordon Smith of Port Isabel, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Kidd of New Orleans; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bill Willis, Cas B. Moss, Stuart Storey, A. B. White, James Mallard, and Jack Wallace.
