Died.
Conner. - Died, at Joplin, Missouri, Jan. 1st, 1877, Mr. Lewis Conner, of Montgomery county, Kansas, aged sixty years.
Mr. Conner was among the early settlers of this county, and in 1870 built and opened the Independence House, in this city. In 1871 he sold out and removed his family to his farm, south of this city, where they now reside. He, with his sons, were at Joplin, operating an engine, where he was taken sick and died. His remains were brought to his son-in-law's Dr. B.F. Masterman, at whose residence the funeral services took place on Friday last.
