Burness was born August 17, 1928 to Ennis Shirley and John Brady in Boise, ID. She was married on August 29, 1948 to John F. Brock until his death in 1963. Then she married Clayborn Rainwater. Burness is survived by her husband of 46 years . Her children Terry Brock Mountain Home, ID; Rita Brock Chandler. Fredericksburg, VA, Teena Sanchez, Boise, ID; Judy Branigan Boise, ID; Theresa Fisher Boise, ID; Jan Pickett Seward, Nebraska, Valerie Sheppard Twin Falls, ID; Kirk Brock Boise, Idaho; Teresa Rainwater Johnston Boise, ID Doug Rainwater Dawson Creek BC Canada; Connie Rainwater Phoenix, OR. Burness was preceded in death by a daughter Rosalyn Krawl, her parents; Brothers Tommy and John Brady; Sisters Shirley Porter Troutman; and Bonnie Tuttle Brock and grandson Terry Ray Cook.
Burness has 27 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
Burness lived most of her life in the Boise area. She worked at Murray's and the Golden Dragon prior to marriage. The rest of her life was devoted to raising her children and making a home for her large family. Burness also cared for her mother Ennis and brother John Brady until their deaths.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 28, at 2:00 pm at the Mountain View Church of the Brethren, 2823 N. Cole Road Boise. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Following the service the family would like to everyone to a reception at Kirk Brock's home. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bowmanfuneral.com.
