BLUFFDALE--Lorin Royal Jessop, age 73, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on August 10, 1999.
He was born November 22, 1925, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joseph Lyman and Winnie Porter Jessop. Married Ellen Jenson on August 12, 1949. Graduated from Granite High School. Served in the U.S. Navy 1943 to 1945. Employed by Otto Buehner and Co., and Karl S. Robinson Trucking. Received a plaque from The Utah Arts Council as conductor of "Old Time Dancers" for over 40 years. He was a friend to all, giving freely of his time and wisdom. He was widely known and liked to travel. His lifes joy was his family.
Survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a daughter. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial services will be Saturday August 14 at 10 a.m. at the RCA Center, 1224 West 16580 South. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the same location and one hour prior to Saturday services. Burial will be at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South.
