Catherine and George were married on Sep. 20, 1849 in Hemmingford, Huntingdon, Quebec. To this union were born 8 children: Thomas, James,Joseph Everett, John, Samuel, Elizabeth Jane, James Andrew and William George. She died on Nov. 29, 1905 in Gooderham, Haliburton,Ontario, Canada.
