PELION - Services for James G. Jeffcoat, 70, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2000 at New Hope Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Bruce Garner and the Rev. Earl Hartley will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at Caughman-Harman Funeral Homes, Lexington Chapel.

Memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 249 New Hope Church Road, Pelion SC 29123.

Mr. Jeffcoat died Monday, December 4, 2000. Born in North, he was the son of the late Wiliam H. and Annie Lou Harley Jeffcoat.

He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Surviving are wife, Dwen Martin Jeffcoat, Pelion; sons and daughters-in-law, Bryan and Marie Jeffcoat, Leesville, David and Lucy Jeffcoat, Springdale; grandson, Chris Jeffcoat; brother, Wilson Jeffcoat, North; sisters, Evelyn Smith, Columbia, Lou Ellen Jeffcoat, North, Leila Carson and Lois Gunter, both of Livingston, Rebecca Calvitt, Blythewood and JoAnn Boone, Lexington; a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jeffcoat was preceded in death by brothers, Brantly, Carlton and Clifford Jeffcoat.
