Columbia - Services for Evelyn Jeffcoat Smith, 95, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, with the Rev. Astor L. Jacobs, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer UMC Cemetery Poole's Mill. Pallbearers will be Michael, Brian, Troy and Gerald Smith, Jr., Jimmy Boone and Alan Hall. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Mrs. Smith died Tuesday, March 11, 2008. Born in North, she was a daughter of the late William Henry and Ann Lou Harley Jeffcoat, was a member of Main St. UMC and was a homemaker. Surviving are a son and daughters-in-law, Gerald D. Sr. and Cindy Smith of Lexington, Barbara Smith of Columbia, sisters, Joann Boone of Lexington, Rebecca Calvitt of North Carolina, and Lelia Carson of Neeses, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence W. Smith, sons, Ted W. and Lamar W. Smith, daughter, Nancy M. Smith, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters. © The State, Columbia, SC, 13 Mar 2008
