James R. Cook, 68, of 810 14 1/2 St., Rock Island, died this morning in St. Anthony's Hospital.

The body was taken to the Knox-Larson Funeral Home, where friends may call after noon tomorrow.

Services will be at 2 Monday afternoon in the funeral home with the Rev. Don L. Jones of Memorial Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Cook was born near Aledo. He married Hulda E. Gustafson Anderson May 31, 1941, in Franklin Co., Tenn.

He had been employed at John Deere Planter Works for 18 years until his retirement in 1965.

Surviving are the widow; two stepsons, Herschel Cook of East Moline and Dean Anderson of Franklin, Wis.; nine step-grandchildren; eight brothers, Henry of Aledo, Glen of North Henderson, Charles of Benton Harbor, Mich., Orrin or Racine, Wis., Stanley of Cambridge, Willard of Rock Island, Alden of Davenport and Paul of Bowling Green, Ohio, and three sisters, Mrs. Rolland Kinnamon of Atlanta, Mo., Mrs. Charles Metzner of Hampton and Mrs. Aura Schoening of Sherrard.
