Janice E. Scanga of 1266 Robertson Road, Hermitage, passed away unexpectedly at 8:24 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 53.
Born on Jan. 4, 1961, in Sharon, Ms. Scanga was a daughter of Irene Beharry Lutz, with whom she resided, and John Lutz, who is deceased.
Janice was a 1979 graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage, and worked as a waitress for many years.
She enjoyed crafting, listening to music, going to the beach and spending time with her fiancé and family.
In addition to her mother, Janice is survived by: her fiancé, Al Walters, Sharon; her son, John M. "Nino" Scanga II; a granddaughter, Makenna Grayce Clark; a sister, Kathryn Minnick, Hermitage; two brothers, Robert A. Lutz, Erie; and David Myers, Hermitage; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, Janice was preceded in death by a brother, John M. Lutz; a sister, Susan Myers; and a nephew, Matthew Gondek.
