Mattie Zerue Siegenthaler, 87 passed away May 15, 2011 at Standing Rock Manor in Apple Valley due to natural causes. Mattie was born September 4, 1923 in Pilot Grove, Texas. She was a California resident for 54 years residing in Apple Valley for 26 years. Mattie was a cashier for 28 years at Lerner Dress Shop in California. She enjoyed many years at Apple Valley Baptist Church and being a volunteer at Apple Valley Senior Thrift Shop and Apple Valley Senior Club. Survivors include her husband, Stanley Roscoe Siegenthaler of Apple Valley, California, son, Scott Leroy Siegenthaler, Albuerque, New Mexico, daughter, Veda Darlene Thomas, San Diego, California , 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 24th at 11:00 A.M. at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley with Pastor Nat Garn officiating.
