Funeral services for Armin P. Lauer, 69, longtime resident of 430 Maple St., will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. from Wright and Ferguson Chapel with Rev. Rex L. Loftin, pastor of West Park Methodist Church, officiating, assisted by Rev. Marvin G. Lancaster, pastor of Philadelphia Baptist Church of Brookhaven. He died unexpectedly late Wednesday afternoon from an apparent heart attack, suffered near Harrisville at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lucille L. Berry.
He was a native of Indiana and was a retired lumberman.
For the past two years he had made his home part-time with his daughter. Mr. Lauer was a Methodist and a Mason.
His survivors are his wife, the former Laura Allen of Calhoun County; his daughter, Mrs. Berry; one son, Lowell R. Lauer of Waterproof, La.; two brothers, Norman Lauer of Tell City, Ind., and Alfred Lauer of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and two sisters, Mrs. Amelia Cleland of Greensburg, Ind., and Mrs. Gertrude Champion of Indianapolis, Ind.
Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, with Masonic rites at the graveside and his nephews serving as pallbearers.
