He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances B. Lauer of Waterproof; a son, Allen Malone Lauer, a student at La. Tech; a daughter, Miss Stella Rose Lauer of Waterproof; a sister, Mrs. Lucille L. Berry of Mendenhall, Miss.; and his mother, Mrs. Laura Allen of Mendnhall, Miss.
Funeral services were to be held at 2pm today in the chapel of Young's. Burial was to be in the Natchez, Miss., City cemetery.

Lowell Rex Lauer, 51, of Waterrpoof, died Monday, October 2, 1972 after a short illness in Clayton.
Funeral services were held at 2pm Tuesday, at Young's Funeral Chapel with Dr. M.H. Fields and Rev. C.C. Wilson officiating. Burial followed in Natchez City Cemetery.
He was s cureman for the Armstrong Tire Co. and a member of the Tensas First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Frances B. Lauer of Waterproof; one son, Allen Malone Lauer of Ruston; one daughter, Miss Stella Rose Lauer of Waterproof; one sister, Mrs. Lucille L. Berry of Mendenhall, Miss.; and his mother, Mrs. Laura Allen of Mendenhall, Miss.
Pallbearers were Carrol Gordon, Dale Bass, Butch Stockstill, Bobby Lancaster, Charles Powell, Donald Black, Chuck Smith and Dick Norwood.
