Mary Aichelmann Lauer, the is daughter of George and Barbara Aichelmann, sister to Martin, George and John Aichelmann. Mary married John "Jacob" Lauer March 28, 1894 in Perry Co., Indiana. She has three daughters: Amelia Cleland, Edna Kuebler and Gertrude Champion; four sons, Armin, Alfred, Norman and Clarence Lauer. The picture to the right is Mary Aichelmann Lauer with her brother John Aichelmann.

Cannelton, Feb. 25-(Special)-
Mrs. Mary Ann Lauer, 65, died this morning at her home on German Ridge. Mrs. Lauer, who was the widow of Jacob Lauer, was one of the few remaining in this German settlement. She came to the United States and Perry County at the age of three years, and resided here since.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Edna Kuebler of Evansville, Mrs. Amelia Cleland of Greensburg, and Mrs. Gertrude Champion of German Ridge; four sons, Alfred Lauer of Cannelton, Norman Lauer of Tell City, Armin Lauer of Burns, Miss.; a brother, John Aichelmann and a half-brother, George Aichelmann, of Houston, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Episcopal Church in Rome, the Rev. William A. Warner, pastor in charge, and burial will be in the Wegenest Cemetery.
