Benjiman Franklin Grimmett was born on December 9, 1894, the eldest son of John W. and Georgia Marlar Grimmett. He married Ruby Staggs on November 2, 1913, and was the father of Alice and Harold. Mr. Grimmett was a Farmer and a resident of Columbia County, Arkansas. In his retirement years he and his wife moved to Shreveport, Louisiana, to be near their daughter Alice. Benjiman was affected by a rare bleeding disorder which he inherited from his mother. In his later years the bleeding became uncontrollable, and on February 24, 1974, Benjiman succumbed to an internal bleed while hospitalized at Fairfield Hospital in Shreveport.
