Hoyt was a native of Ohio. He came to California in 1936, living in Oakland and working as a China decorator for the Bowman China Co. of Oakland for 26 years. He retired in 1962 and moved his family to Lodi.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Hoyt, and one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Anderson, both of Lodi.
