~ Funeral services will be held Monday, May 12, 2014 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton for Carroll J. Menard, age 68, who passed away Friday, May 9, 2014.
Interment will be in St. John Berchmans Cemetery in Cankton. The Rev. Msgr. Russell Harrington, pastor of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Menard was a native and lifelong resident of Cankton. He was the owner and operator of University Hair Cutting on 182 for over thirty years. Mr. Menard recently worked with Barry Cajun Cut Barber Shop in Lafayette. He was a parishioner of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton.

Survivors include his parents, Mozar Menard and the former, Philonese Cormier, of Cankton; two sons, Joey Menard and his wife, Tammy, of McComb, MS and Marshal Menard of Lafayette; one daughter, Kimberly LaGrange and her husband, Jimmy, of Cankton; eight grandchildren, Jordan Reynolds, Justin Reynolds, Ashton Menard, Brayden Menard, Clayton Kinzel, Lauren Boudreaux and her husband, Brad, Mitchell LaGrange and Madison LaGrange; one great grandchild, Aison Boudreaux; and one brother, Scurdy Menard of Cankton.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy LaGrange, Marshall Menard, Joey Menard, Nolton Menard, Chad Menard and Shane Menard.

Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Avenue, Carencro, Louisiana was in charge of arrangements.
