Julia Agnes Dodd, lifelong Mannford area resident, passed from this life on Friday, April 18, 2014 at her home, at the age of ninety-two years. She was born on the family farm, on June 3, 1921 near House Creek, in rural Pawnee County. She was one of twelve children born to Jessie Jack and Naomi Agness (Misner) Varnell. Julia was raised on the family farm and attended a rural school near the farm called House Creek School.

In addition to her husbnad, Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Jack and Agness Varnell;
three brothers, Fred, Mansel, and Gerald Varnell and a sister, Verla Jones.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2014, 2:00 PM at the Oakhill Full Gospel Church with Rev. Harrel Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakhill Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Cochran, John Hall, Robbie Gibson, Dale Vaughan, Nathan Vaughan and Kenneth Cochran. (Chapman Black)
