MRS. LUCY ROTHERHAM
Mrs. Lucy Rotherham, 75, resident of Norfolk since 1927, died at 10:25 Tuesday night at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Rotherham, 1008 South Second Street. She had been in failing health since suffering a stroke last September.
Mrs. Rotherham, whose maiden name was Lucy McCarthy, was born June 23, 1872, at Amsterdam, New York, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Justin McCarthy. She was six years old when her parents moved to Holt County, where they were pioneers.
She was married in 1897 in Holt county to James Rotherham. They resided in that county until 1927, when they moved to Norfolk.
Surviving are three daughter, Mrs. Joe Thramer, Clearwater; Mrs. Albin Thramer, Ewing, and Miss Catherine, Norfolk; one son, Michael, Norfolk. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Thomas, and a daughter who died in infancy.
Funeral services have tentatively been set for 9 o'clock Friday morning in Sacred Heart Church at Norfolk.
