Clarence E. Bailey, 71, of Berlin RD 3, formerly of Hooversville, died Oct. 18, 1977 at Windber Hospital. Born Feb. 23, 1906 in Scalp Level, son of Andrew and Effie (Pebley) Bailey. Preceded in death by father, wife, the former Lottie Barndt. Survived by mother of Berlin and the following children: Mrs. Howard (Elda) Frampton and Eugene, both of Stoystown RD 1; Mrs. Grace Frampton of Wheaton, Md.; Nelson of Berlin RD 3; Ralph of Somerset RD 1; Harold of Somerset RD 7; and Mrs. Mildred Flickinger of Somerset RD 2; 28 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Brother of Earl of Portage RD 2. Affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Formerly employed at the Somerset Foundry. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. J. Wesley Spahn and the Rev Marlin A. Miller officiating. Interment, Sipesville Cemetery.
