SUDDEN DEATH
H. McDaniel, who had been in the employ of E. A. Dillon, as blacksmith, for a few weeks past, died yesterday morning shortly after one o'clock from pneumonia. Mr. McDaniels had been ill only since last Saturday, had but recently recovered from an attack of pneumonia in Sacramento. McDaniels was, we believe, a native of Illinois, aged 38 years. He leaves a brother at Litchfield, Illinois and a sister, Mrs. J. F. Ellis, at Gayer, Ill. It is also understood that he leaves a wife in California with whom he had not been living for some time past, and three children. His relatives have been telgraphed to regarding the disposition of the remains as McDaniel left no effects."
