Gladys Isabel Gibbons Robinson Harding, 94, of Denton died Sunday, March 6, 2005, at Denton Regional Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 1, 1910, in Denton County near Argyle to John Hendricks and Lotta Ethel (Sparks) Gibbons. On Dec. 26, 1931, she married Cecil Clarence Robinson in Marietta, Okla. He died Aug. 29, 1966. Later, she married Edwin Scott Harding on April 7, 1981, in the First Baptist Church of Argyle. He died Jan. 12, 1994. She attended Stoney Ridge Elementary School, Argyle School and was a 1928 graduate of Denton High School. In 1956 she graduated from North Texas State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. In 1967, she attended Texas Woman's University, where she received a certificate to teach special education. She was a retired teacher and homemaker and a member of the Highland Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at the First Baptist Church in Argyle. The Rev. Eddie Schafer will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Denton. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 9.

Mrs. Harding is survived by two daughters, Evelyn Maxine Evans and husband Bill of Argyle, and Rochelle Karen Eaker and husband Harold of Uvalde; a son, Cecil Wayne Robinson and wife Lena Faye of Argyle; a sister, Margaret G. Jones of Denton; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Gayle Robinson, and three brothers, Warren S. Gibbons, John (Jack) H. Gibbon, Jr. and David C. Gibbons, and her parents, John and Ethel (Sparks) Gibbons.

Pallbearers are Kent and Cary Evans, Dale Robinson, and Jonathan, Lance and Blake Eaker. Honorary pallbearers are David Robinson, William Gibbons and W. Lee Gibbons.

Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
