Rochelle Karen Robinson Eaker, 65, of Uvalde, passed away on September 23, 2008 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital. She was born November 18, 1942 in Fort Worth, Texas to Clarence and Gladys Gibbons Robinson. She attended Argyle, Long Mott and Double Oak schools, graduating from La Pryor High School where she was a band majorette. She married Harold Glenn Eaker in La Pryor, Texas on June 17, 1961. Karen was a homemaker. Her life exemplified Proverbs 31:10-31.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Eaker of Uvalde, Texas; one daughter, Belinda Murel and husband, Andrew Alaska of North Branford, Connecticut; three sons, Jonathan Eaker and wife, Nancy of College Station, Texas, Lance Eaker and wife, Boo of Houston, Texas, and Blake Eaker and wife, Lourdes of Uvalde; five grandchildren; one sister, Maxine R. and Billy Evans; one brother, Wayne and Lena Faye Robinson of Argyle; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents; and a brother, Kenneth Gayle Robinson, preceded Karen in death.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at First Baptist Church Uvalde, with Brother Jerry Scott officiating. Burial followed in Hillcrest Cemetery in Uvalde, Texas.
