per death certificate: Mary died at her home at the age of 77. Her mother was Mandy Hassler and her father was James Owens. Her husband Bolin Smith died before she did. The informant on her dc is a Rudolph Smith living at the same address as her home. Rudolph was her son.

Her date of birth is November 12, 1874 per the family bible. Her birth date on her d.c. November 11, 1874.

She had three sons-no daughters per a family member.

Mary loved to sew and she was very good at it. She and Blanche Prater (her niece) would sew for hours and hours on end and sit and visit. They were very close. Both Mary and her niece Blanche are buried in this exact same cemetery.

The daughter of Blanche was named Mary (quite possibly after this Mary Smith). Little Mary would always, always refer to her as Aunt Inee.

Mary's husband Beau was 18 years older than Mary and he died in 1934. She missed him so very much and sewing helped her fill the lonely days.
Information is from the death certificate and family oral history.
