~~~~~
Gertude Biggs Drum, wife of Robert Drum, Jr., was born in Lutesville, MO September 4, 1885 and died in the same town February 13, 1926, after a brief illness, at the age of 40 years.
Gertrude, as she was known to so many of her close friends here, had all the care that skilled physicians and an anxious household could devise and apply for her comfort and assistance. She ran the journey of her life in the short space of 40 years.
Her greatest interest was in her home, and here was the happiest when with her aged mother, Mrs. E.P. Biggs, her husband, and two sons, Paul and Robert; doing for them, making them happy and comfortable.
The last services were held at the Presbyterian Church in Lutesville. Rev. Ira Miller of Fredericktown officiating, after which the remains were placed to rest in the Slaybaugh Cemetery. -- J. Wm. Drum
