Funeral services for Thomas Clifton, 54, who died at his home at 514 Dargan Street Thursday afternoon after an illness of several years will be held at 11 o'clock this morning at the residence and the interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.

The Rev. F.E. Dibble, pastor of Central Methodist Church Will conduct the services.

Mr. Clifton was a native of Rich Square, N.C. He had been in the service of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company for about 25 years when several years ago his health failed. He saw most of his railroad service as an agent in Darlington.

Mr. Clifton is survived by his wife who was Miss Rosa Smith of Gibson N.C.; two sons, Frank Thomas Clifton of Mount Airy, N.C. and Ernest Smith Clifton of Baton Rouge, La.; a half brother H.F. Taylor of Richmond, Va.; and a sister Mrs. W.A. Rose of Wadesboro, N.C.
