I grew up in Saddletree (Robeson County, NC). As a young man, I helped my family with the upkeep of several cemeteries where relatives were buried in the Saddletree community. I left Saddletree for a short period before returning and left again, in 1996, to move to Arizona for graduate work. I later moved to California to work on my PhD before moving back to Arizona for my career. It is my goal to document the cemeteries of Robeson County, NC, through the photos and ancestry of those buried there.
