Funeral services will be today at 4 p.m. in Walters Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Frank Clifton Jr., Johnny Clifton, Lyle McKain, Tommy Kirby, W.M. Thorp and S.L. Cox Jr.
Mrs. Clifton was a daughter of Sidney J. and Mary Helen (Radcliffe) Ratliffe Smith both of Anson County, N.C.. She was born in Wadesboro, N.C. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church; the Wesley Bible Class and the Sara Glen Circle of the Church.
Surviving are two sons, Frank Thomas Clifton of Mt. Holly, N.C., and Ernest Smith Clifton of Denton, Texas; a sister Miss Mary Smith of Florence and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
