Betty L. Waldron, 69, of 912 Illinois Ave., died at 10:51 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 1993, at home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Pettett Funeral Home in Murphysboro, with the Rev. Jack Davis officiating. Burial will be in Tower Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday until 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.
She was born Aug. 9, 1923, in Murphysboro, to Clarence and Elva (Jacobs) Wayman.
She first married Clifford Poe. He preceded her in death. She married Lester Waldron on Nov. 24, 1971, in Murphysboro. He survives.
Mrs. Waldron was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Post 127 Auxiliary.
She is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Clifford Ray and Pam Poe of Tulsa, Okla.; one daughter, Phyllis Craine Simon of Murphysboro; one brother, Robert Wayman of Murphysboro; and four sisters, Ella Moore, Mary Calandro, Dorothy Farley and Norma Childers, all of Murphysboro.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Betty died 17 Jul 1993. All of her life she lived in Murphysboro, Jackson Co., Illinois. Her body was interred at Tower Grove Cemetery, Murphysboro.
