Isabella Dingwall Gibson was my paternal grandmother. She was born in Inchrory, Fodderty, near the town of Dingwall, in the north of Scotland. She was one of the 14 children of John Dingwall, a ploughman and his wife Jessie (maiden surname Maclennan) Several of Isabella's siblings emigrated to the USA and Canada.
On 23rd December 1904 she married Kenneth Gibson, a house painter, in Glasgow.
They had four sons and three daughters. Their youngest son Joseph's name appears on the memorial.
