Mrs. Barbara J. Porter, 62, of 514 Buffalo St, died at 7:01 am Sunday in Franklin Regional Medical Center, Born April 21, 1923 in Franklin, she was a daughter of Manuel and Cleo McClune Beers.

She was an avid bowler.

She married Terry M. Porter Dec. 24, 1940 and he survives, with two sons, Melvin L. Porter and Michael P. Porter, both of Franklin; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Sandra) Peterson, Mrs. Roger (Katherine) Suck, and Mrs. Ronald (Terry) Weyland, all of Franklin, and Miss Dorothy Porter at home; two brothers, George D. Beers of Oil City and Braden L. Beers of Kennerdell; three sisters, Mrs. Pirl (Helen) Oakes, Jr. of Seneca, Mrs. Robert (Geraldine) Proper of Pleasantville, and Mrs. Edward (Faye) Peterson of Franklin; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Beers, a brother, James Beers, and a great-grandson, Jonathan Taylor.

Services will be in the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home Rev. Timothy Haag of Calvary Temple officiating. Interment will be in Graham Cemetery, Bully Hill.
