Mr. Smith was born in Kosse TX on Aug 29, 1912 and had lived in the Bellmead area for his entire life.
He was a truck driver, and a bus driver for the City of Waco, also operated a service station.
Survivors include: sons, Morris Smith, Roger Smith, Elmer Smith and Alfred Smith all of Waco and Jimmie smith of Weimar TX; daughter, Rhonda Newsom of Taylor TX; sisters, Florene Roberts and Alma Flemmons both of Waco, Mary Mayfield of Grand Prairie TX, Francis White of Bellmead TX, Ola Mae LaRue of Lorena TX, Mamie Leftwich of Hewitt TX, Barbara Ingram of Valley Mills TX, and Tranquilla Malone of Alabama; 16 grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, and three step great-great grandchildren.
