Edith E. Hummel "Edie", 86, of Annville, passed away peacefully at Hill Farm Estates, on January 22, 2014. She was the wife of the late Paul A. Hummel, Jr. "Pauppy", who passed away in 2009.

Born in Lebanon on January 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late John and Mable (Hoke) Birch.

Edie retired from Hershey Foods and also owned Edie's Diner on Rt. 22. She previously attended Sand Hill Christian Union Church. Her interests included hunting, fishing, shooting bow and arrow, bowling, and traveling to Tuckahoe for deep sea fishing. She was the winner of the 1959 archery shot and received two trophies as a race car driver.

Surviving are a daughter Bonita L. Wanamaker "Bonnie" of Lebanon, a son Barry husband of Faye Hummel, of Lebanon, a daughter Brenda L. wife of Floyd Steele, of Jonestown, eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, three sisters, Dorothy Libe, Anna Johnson, Patricia Bernheisel, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Monday January 27, 2014 at 11AM from the Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main Street, Annville.

Inurnment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Contributions can be made in Edie's memory to Hill Farm Estates, 200 Kauffman Road, Annville, PA 17003.
