PALMYRA - John W. Birch, 91, of Palmyra RD 2 died Tuesday at home. He was retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp.'s Lebanon Plant; a member of Bunker Hill Evangelical Congregational Church; and attended Colebrook United Methodist Church. He was the widower of Mabel E. Hoke Birch. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Peirce Youtz Birch; four daughters, Dorothy Leib of Jonestown, Edith Hummel and Patricia Bernheisel, both of Lebanon, and Anna Johnston of Palmyra; two stepsons, Harry and John Youtz, both of Manheim; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Rohland Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in Bunker Hill Cemetery, Jonestown. Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
